How do I pay for my website2Go subscription? Website2Go accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express credit cards. Your confidential card information is protected by our secure server using industry-standard SSL encryption technology. Charges will appear automatically on your monthly statement. Are there any hidden charges? There are never any hidden charges with website2Go. The basic website2Go Express subscription fee covers everything you'll need. Higher-level plans include more email accounts, site search, the Form Builder, unlimited pages, and higher limits on disk space and transfers. We may offer certain optional services in the future that you may add for an additional charge; we will keep you informed as these develop. How do I know I will like website2Go before I commit? We invite you to try website2Go completely risk free. Register right now. In only a few minutes, your new website will be online, ready for you to customize. In as little as one hour you can have your company online and ready for business. If you aren't absolutely amazed and delighted with website2Go, you can cancel at any time to receive a pro-rated refund for any months paid for but not used (minus a domain registration fee). Nothing could be easier! Must I have my own computer or Internet account? Absolutely not! You can sign up now and create your website from any computer, even the one you are currently using. The only requirement is that you have a valid email address. Do I need any special hardware or software to use website2Go? You don't need anything more than you needed to read this page - an ordinary browser. How do I place an order? Just complete the online registration form and pay with your credit card. If you wish, you may subscribe by calling the website2Go support number: 1-877-WEB-2002. Do I have to sign a contract? You must agree to our Terms & Conditions, but you don't have to sign up for a set period of time. You can cancel whenever you want, and receive a pro-rated refund for the unused balance of your subscription. What contract and payment terms are available? There are five service plans and two subscription terms, either three months or twelve months, payable in advance. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express cards, and your account will be renewed automatically when it expires, at the same rate and for the same subscription term, unless you notify us otherwise. If you subscribe under the 12-month contract, you will pay for 11 months in advance and receive the 12th month free. You may switch from the three-month to the twelve-month plan at any time, and receive the free month. Just let us know. Do you offer technical support to customers? Yes. We encourage our customers to use the customer support form on their Site Manager pages for questions or concerns about their websites. We make every effort to respond via email within one business day. You may also call our telephone support center at 1-877-WEB-2002 to speak with a support representative Monday through Friday between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. Eastern Time, or to leave a message after hours. If you expect an answer by email, don't forget to furnish your email address! How long does it take to set up a new account? Your new website will be ready to customize within minutes of registration. You will receive an email message a few minutes later confirming all the details of your account and how to get started. How do I access my account Site Manager? Once your domain is active, you can access your Site Manager in the following manner: http://www.your_domain.com/sitemanager/ If your domain name is still in the registration process, you can still access the Site Manager using the temporary URL provided within your confirmation notice. If your user ID is your_dom, then you would enter: http://your_dom.website2go.com/sitemanager/ Can I check domain name availability? Does website2Go handle domain registration? Yes and yes. The website2Go automated domain registration system will tell you in seconds whether the name you want is available, and if so, register it for you automatically. Can I transfer an existing domain name to website2Go? Yes. Whether you place an order by telephone or via our online order form, be sure to specify that you are requesting a transfer and NOT a new domain. You should keep the service at the present site while waiting for the transfer to take effect. We will provide you with a temporary site address so you can start building your site on our server immediately. All email and web pages will still be accessed from the current site until the domain name transfer is complete. There is a 48-hour propagation period where visitors could go to either site. At the end of the 48 hours, you should contact the previous host to have them delete the old domain from their records and update their DNS record. If you use this same provider for your Internet access, you will not be able to access your domain site at website2Go until they update their DNS. How long does it take before my domain name is active? Once your domain name has been registered (or transferred, if applicable), it usually takes about 24 to 48 hours before it is active. All internet providers must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect new site locations. This is called propagation. What is the fee for domain registration? Our normal fee for registering a new domain or transferring an existing domain is $30. When we transfer an existing domain, its registration term is extended by one year. We will waive the first year's fee for both new registrations and transfers of existing domains for all website2Go customers who complete the initial subscription period. If you cancel your subscription earlier, we will reduce your refund by $30 to cover domain registration costs. Your second and subsequent domain registration fee will be $30 per year, which will be added to your automatic subscription renewal as each one-year domain registration expires. |
